Greetings, all --

On Wednesday, March 19, the Search Committee enters on the second and final
phase of our limited search for a new rector. On that day, we will receive
from the Diocese of Washington the names of 8 candidates for rector of St.
John's, one of which will be that of The Rev. Dr. Albert Scariato, our
Priest-in-Charge.

Over the subsequent five to six weeks, the search committee will assess the
candidates, narrowing the number of applicants at each step in the process.

The assessment will be based on the applicants' written resumes, phone
interviews, work in their home parish, and face-to-face interviews when
visiting St. John's.

The number of applicants will be narrowed until we have chosen at least 3
applicants for our rector job - a minimum number required by the Diocese -
and have submitted their names to the Vestry for final decision.

If you have any questions, please contact any member of the Search Committee
(see list below). Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we conclude
our work.
