Announcements & Events

Plan to attend this special Lenten Meal and Service
    Maundy Thursday Lamb Feast & Holy Eucharist
Thursday, 20 March, 6:30 pm Blake Hall
We will begin with a lamb feast followed by Holy Eucharist all held in Blake
Hall. Following the service we will process with the choir to the church for
prayers and the Stripping of the Altar. Sign up by using the insert in your
Sunday bulletin or on the sign-up sheet in Blake Hall. Attend some or all of
the evening¹s offerings. This dinner and service is a wonderful opportunity
to introduce St. John¹s to your friends, family and co-workers.

22 March ~ Easter Egg Decorating
10 am to noon for Easter Egg Decorating. Bring some hardboiled eggs to
decorate. 

Annual Parish Meeting
Sunday, 6 April
There will be one service at 10 am, followed by the Annual Parish Meeting at
11 am. Reports are due to Jane Volkema (Jane at stjohnsgeorgetown.org) no later
than Monday, 10 March. The Annual Report will be made available in a pdf
format and emailed to all on the Parish list-serve and will be posted on our
website. A limited number of hardcopies will be printed for those who do not
have the electronic alternatives.

7 at 7 at Steve and Albert¹s
Steve Ziobro and Father Albert are hosting two 7 at 7 dinners: one on Friday,
28 March and another on Saturday, 29 March. To sign up, send an email to
Jane at stjohnsgeorgetown.org. First-come, first-served. Indicate date you wish
to attend, food dislikes and food allergies. Every effort will be made to
mix 9 am and 11 am service participants. The first fourteen will receive a
confirmation email. If you don¹t receive a confirmation, there will be
another opportunity in May.
