Dear Parishioners, 
HEADLINES:
 
All Saints' Sunday is on 4 November.  This is an especially appropriate Feast Day to remember loved ones by dedicating altar flowers in their names.   If you would like to do so, please contact the Parish Office.  There is no minimum donation required.
 
The evening before All Saints' Sunday is the evening when we turn our clocks BACK one hour for Daylight Saving Time.  
Saturday, 27 October 200710:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Adult Inquirers Class meeting in Addison Room and Chapel. Led by Albert; breakfast and lunch provided; come for all or part of the session; Parking provided. This is in preparation for those who wish to be confirmed, received or reaffirmed in the Epsicopal tradition at the service scheduled at National Cathedral on Saturday, 3 November at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, 28 October 2007: 22th Sunday after Pentecost: 9:00 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite II and Holy Baptism10:00 a.m.: Sunday School for Young People of All Ages; Adult Forum: "The Hindu Tradition" led by Professor Susan Bond MATS11:00 a.m.: Morning Prayer Rite I followed by Communion in The Chapel of the Carpenter after the service.
Wednesday, 31 October 20075:30 p.m.: Holy Eucharist and Centering Prayer in Chapel
 
Saturday, 3 November 200710:00 a.m.: Confirmation Service at National Cathedral.  All are invited to come and support our fifteen parishioners who will be confirmed, received, or reaffirmed in the faith tradition of The Episcopal Church.
 
Sunday, 4 November 2007: All Saints' Day: 9:00 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite II and Holy Baptism10:00 a.m.: Sunday School for Young People of All Age
Memorial Service in Chapel in memory of the faithful departed of Saint John's and those whose remains are in our Columbarium11:00 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite II
 
Saturday, 10 November 2007: Monthly Outing11:00 a.m.: Turner exhibition at National Gallery of Art.  We will meet in the Rotunda, view the exhibition, and have lunch together
 
Sunday, 11 November 2007: 24th Sunday after Pentecost9:00 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite II10:00 a.m.: Sunday School for Young People of All Age; Adult Forum: "Cosmic Liturgical Vision" by Father Conner11:00 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite I

6:30: Gathering
6:45: Parish Dinner (Thanksgiving Fare with Vegetarian Options)
7:20: Open Microphone--Ron Ivey will give a brief summary of the work of the Organ Committee.  Parishioners will then be able to make announcements, voice concerns, and make any other comments that they would like.
7:40: PAC Meetings
8:50: Compline in church
