Dear Parishioners,
 
I would like to highlight two special events that will occur at Saint John's.  
 
As you have read in the Weekend Update we will be hosting Daoud Nassar, a Palestinian Christian who is struggling to retain his family's long owned farm in the West Bank. He will be sharing his story with us on Monday, 3rd December at 7:00 at an Issues Dinner.  We will also be taking up a collection to help him in his endeavors.
 
The following Sunday, 9th December at each service, the plate offerings will, as they were last year, be sent to the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem.  The people of that diocese are struggling to maintain a viable Christian presence in the Holy Land.  Their need is very great.
 
Please try to participate in these two events as part of an Advent observance as we prepare our hearts to let "the Christ child enter in."
