May 12 Registration Deadline for the 2-mile Meg Graham Scholarship Fund
Walkathon

Please mail in your registration forms and payment by this Saturday, May 12
to participate in this fundraiser for the Meg Graham Scholarship Fund.  The
Walk-A-Thon begins at 8:30am at Waterfront Park in Alexandria on Saturday,
May 19.

 

The St. John's contingent of walkers will be identified by an exuberant
banner to be decorated by Parish children during Sunday School on May 13.

If you are interested in carpooling to and from the Walk-A-Thon, please
email Jill Thorpe at jill at merlethorpearchitects.com.  There will be parking
at Hyde Park for carpoolers.

 

The registration form can be found in the Parish Hall, or downloaded from

Sunday School, 10 am, May 13, 2007 --- A Special Event for Mothers Day

All children and their fathers are invited to help St. John's decorate the
banner for the St. John's contingent of walkers for the Meg Graham
Scholarship Fund WALK-A-THON.  We'll meet in the Tucker Room after the 9am
service.

 

A special activity is also planned for children to make a present for their
moms and other special women in their lives.

 

Jill Thorpe is looking for any parent volunteers able to help with these
Sunday School activities, as Ann LaPorta and Christine Deeley-Wood will be

PS for the moms:  We hope you will enjoy that extra cup of coffee -- and the
peace and quiet attending it -- in the Parish Hall while we work on our
special Sunday School projects!
