Sunday, 9 December 2007: Second Sunday of Advent PLEASE NOTE: The loose plate offerings on this Sunday will be donated to The Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem.  Please be generous in supporting this community struggling to maintain a viable Christian presence in The Holy Land.9:00 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite II10:00 a.m.: Intergenerational Advent/Christmas Story Telling
11:00 a.m.: Holy Eucharist Rite I
3:00 - 6:00 p.m.: Annual Parish Christmas Party at Albert and Stephen's home.  If you have not received an invitation with parking instructions and directions, please contact the parish office.  Also please r.s.v.p. to the parish office so we can have a rough count.  If you forget to r.s.v.p., please come anyway and join the celebration. Location: 3909 Albemarle Street, NW (Albemarle between Wisconsin and Nebraska Avenues--east of Wisconsin Avenue).  All "30" buses on Wisconsin Avenue will take folks from Georgetown to Wisconsin and Albemarle where the Tenleytown-AU Metro stop is also located.  There is ample street parking as well as a parking lot behind Whole Foods.  Folks with trouble walking can be dropped off curbside to be escorted into the house.  There will be activities for the children during the gathering as well. 6:30 p.m.: Holy Eucharist at the Empty Manger--Several parishioners have requested a special service for those who have experienced loss or are in grief during this season.  Others have wanted a service where they can be comfortable not being in the joy that others are experiencing this time of year.  This special liturgy has been prepared with these folks in mind.  All are invited.
