The Palestinian Embroidery project invites you to a pre-holiday sale of
traditional and modern Palestinian embroidery from refugee camps and
cooperatives in the West Bank, Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. We will be
selling beautifully embroidered and hand-woven shawls and scarves, women's
and children's dresses, hand towels, tote bags, cell phone cases, coin
purses, clutch bags, cushion covers (both silk and canvas), eyeglass cases,
nativity sets, aprons, bookmarks, telephone books, table runners, place mats
with matching napkins, small pouches and other items that make wonderful
gifts. The women who make these items desperately need markets for their
embroidery to provide income for their families. Enjoy these women's
beautiful work and know that your purchase will directly benefit them.

The opportunity to purchase high-quality Palestinian crafts is made possible
by the Palestinian Embroidery Project. The Project uses the sale of
embroidery to bring income to women in Palestinian refugee camps and
villages and to educate Americans about the Palestinian experience and
cultural heritage. The Palestinian Embroidery project works with refugee
cooperatives supported by established nonprofit organizations, including the
United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the YWCA and American Near
East Refugee Aid (ANERA).
