[St. John's News] Bill Hood Funeral

Bill Hood was a long-time parishioner who retired to Williamsburg.  Bill
attended St. John's for many years before moving to Williamsburg and served
as St. John's Treasurer.  His daughter Cathie was married to Bill Mott at
St. John's and one of their four children was baptized at St. John's.   News
of his funeral arrangements are found below.

 

Bill was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myloide Leukemia).  He was treated in
Chicago from early March until late June.  He went home to Williamsburg then
and was admitted to the hospital there in early July.  He died from
complications of the leukemia on July 27.  He will be buried at Arlington
Wednesday, August 30.

 

The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday August 30th.  The service will begin
at 2:30 at the Fort Meyer Chapel at Arlington Cemetery.  The burial will be
at the Columbarium there and the reception will be held at the Army Navy
Club on 17th street from 4:30 to 6:30.
